| A great overlook is Hermits Rest where you can pick out the famous peaks of the San Juan Mountains to the south. Further up the road we pulled over where the clear, calm Gould Reservoir was tucked in the valley below us. Something that wasn’t expected, was the early fall foliage, what an added bonus! We continue north to Crawford, and stopped at the “Boardwalk Restaurant & Lounge“. Be sure to head to the beautiful hand made ‘piano bar’ in the back. The owner, Donna, is extremely friendly & will keep you entertained with her stories. | |
