I have to throw in this great photo of ‘the sisters’ taken that evening – that’s me in the middle, Diane on the left and Teri on the right. We’re not having any fun!?!?

The next day we wake up to rain, it rains all day, it’s relentless. We decide to blow off our plans to ride to the Mesa Verde Cliff Dwellings and spend the day lounging. Every biker we talk to who is tent camping for the weekend, tells the same story – ‘everything’ they own is wet. It lets up a bit, so we decide to check out the ‘Four Corners Rally’ in Ignacio that afternoon. As you can see, it was drenched; we stayed a couple hours and left when it started raining again. We stopped at the Billy Goat on our way back; fun place to hang out at.

It’s now our last day, 8 hours back to Denver, through Pagosa Springs, and over the ominous Wolf Creek Pass. Get home, open up a bottle of wine, grill up some salmon and relax our bodies in the hot tub. What a perfect way to end a fantastic trip.
We figured we rode over 9 mountain passes and put 1,100 miles on our bikes. Our motto for the trip - “Every day was more beautiful than the last” – can’t beat that. I hope you enjoyed reading this, and more importantly, get some ideas for putting together your next trip to scenic, southern Colorado.

“It’s all good”
