We get back to the Bear Paw at dusk – we were pushing it almost every night – you don’t want to be riding these roads in the dark due to all the wildlife. And fellow members of the ‘Aurora Mile High HOG Chapter’ have arrived; John (our Director) & Karen, Mike (our Webmaster) & Debi, and about a half dozen more. So we all head over to Virginia’s for an evening of dining & dancing (check out Mike whipping it up on the dance floor with Virginia).

Another great day spent in colorful Colorado; mileage for the day = 293 miles.
We women, are by now, chomping at the bit – this is our 6th day on the road, & we haven’t been shopping yet! Agenda for the day, hit the Harley-Davidson shop in Durango, then head south to Four Corners Harley-Davidson in Farmington, New Mexico. As we cross into NM, we encounter our first rain storm of the trip; unfortunately, it rained off & on that day but not enough to get out our rain gear. If you go to Farmington, do not take the main business route through town – it is loaded with stoplights. Try to find a bypass; we came in from the west & the H-D shop is on the far east side. The photo of Chris & I trying to close our tour pack cracks me up – you might say the shopping trip was a success!

Get back to the Bear Paw at dusk again, & head into Durango to see my favorite Denver band, Brethren Fast, playing at the Steamworks.
